This car has been fairly heavily modified by a tuner as well as myself. Please keep this in mind if you're considering this car. The engine is NOT STOCK.
Modifications include:
- Lingenfelter Performance Engineering 383 cid engine and headers, producing close to 470HP/480ft-lbs.
- Cold-air radiator shroud air intake
- Ron Davis racing radiator/oil-cooler combo
- LS6 clutch
- Corsa "Pace Car" cat-back exhaust
- X-pipe near mufflers
- Mov'it Porsche 911 Turbo front brake calipers and rotors
- SS brake lines on all 4 calipers
- harness bar and Simpson 5-point quick-release harnesses
- Euro-code headlights with 130/100 W bulbs and appropriate 10ga wiring to deal with load
- short-throw stock shifter
Please note: THIS CAR IS *NOT* A GARAGE QUEEN!! It has been driven vigorously at Summit Point Raceway many times over the last 6.5 years. The modifications were done to the car specifically to deal with the rigors of road course use. I've been able to pull 1:26 laps in the car with nothing more than DOT-legal R-compund track tires added to it.
The engine is one of the first few C5s that Lingenfelter tuned back in 1999, so the cam is very mild. More HP and Tq are probably readily available with more tuning, if you desire. I've found it to be plenty at the road course, and more than enough for fun on the street.
The brakes are up to the task of repeatedly hauling the car down from triple-digit speeds to make a 40MPH turn at the track, all day long. No fade, no boiled fluid, and no pucker! The parts for the brakes, such as pads and rotors, are readily available at any Porsche supply house.
The headlights are off of the European C5, and have been aimed according to ECE spec. They've been complimented by 10ga wiring directly off of the battery, to help safely power the 130W/100W H4 bulbs. The low beams are aimed in such a way that they will NOT blind on-coming traffic. The high beams will light the road up for a mile.
Included with the car:
- 17-inch ZR1-style wheels with Kumho R-compound race rubber
- Extra 911 rotors with the appropriate hubs required for new rotor replacements
- original front brake calipers
