This is not a numbers-matching car, but a Corvette built to enjoy driving and casual shows. Detailed engine compartment with completely new 327 cu in. engine, fresh and correctly restored 1959 Rochester fuel injection unit, correct fuel injection distributor, air cleaner and high-redline (290 HP) distributor driven tachometer. Restored Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed with Hurst shifter and correct-appearing shift lever with fake reverse lockout. All gauges are correct, detailed and working including the clock and fully restored Wonderbar radio. All stainless trim has been polished, all chrome has been perfectly triple-plated and all weatherstripping and wiring is new. Also new are the sill plates, tail lamp lenses, trunk mat, tires, door glass, glass weatherseals and glass runs, steering gearbox and Dewitt's aluminum radiator. This Vette runs and handles solidly with no squeaks or rattles and the body is straight. This is not an NCRS trailer-queen, but a car that you can afford to enjoy. With matching-number solid axle fuelies now into the unbelievable $110,000 to $120,000 range and average drivers pushing $50,000, I believe that this car is priced fairly. They're not gettin' cheaper! I have built this car to my details and specifications, but have acquired another '59 that I would like to restore and don't have room for both.
