1954 Corvette If you like Corvettes you will LOVE this one! Serial number E54S004440 - the 3,439th Corvette ever made. This is a very solid car. The newly re-built engine has less than 850 miles, including a 400 mile round-trip drive to the Charlotte Auto Fair in March, 2007. It has the original two speed Powerglide automatic transmission and a newly rebuilt 1957 Corvette 283 V8. It was professionally re-painted in March 2007 and the top and interior are in good shape. It has new paint, newly re-built motor, new brakes, new carpet, good top with clear window, removable side curtain windows and new stainless steel fuel tank. The car is stored under a car cover in an enclosed garage. The seats and interior are in very good condition. It has the original wheels and hubcaps which are difficult to find, as well as the original side curtains which are also hard to find. It also has the original Corvette radio with the Wonder Bar feature. The 1957 283 Cubic Inch (4.6 Liter) Corvette motor is newly re-built with new pistons, rings, and bearings, and the engine - including the crankshaft, was balanced by Simmons Balancing in Charleston, SC.
