ABOUT THE CAR THIS VERY SPECIAL 1972 CORVETTE BEARS ITS ORIGINAL STEEL CITIES GRAY COLOR ON A VERY STRAIGHT AND PROBABLY NO-HIT BODY WITH THE EXCEPTIONAL FOUR SPEED TRANSMISSION MATED TO THE REBUILT NUMBERS MATCHING MOTOR. MOREOVER EVERYTHING WORKS SAVE THE CLOCK! WE JUST COMPLETED A ONE HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE MILE ROAD TRIP AND SHE RAN GREAT! EXTERIOR THE FORMER OWNER STATED THE CAR TO MAINTAIN ITS ORIGINAL PAINT IN ABOVE AVERAGE DRIVER CONDITION ON AN OTHERWISE STRAIGHT BODY THAT APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. THE FRAME IS SOLID AND OBVIOUSLY STRAIGHT. THE NEWER BF GOODRICH RADIAL TA'S ARE MOUNTED ON A SET OF THE ORIGINAL CHROMED RALLY WHEELS. A PLACITC EMPBLEM HAS BEEN PLACED ON THE SENTER CAP AND MAY BE REMOVED AT THE OWNER'S DISCRETION. THE WEATHERSTRIP IS STILL SOFT TO THE TOUCH IN MOST PLACES AND IS NOT COMING APART. THE ORIGINAL ASTRO VENTILATION GLASS IS IN PLACE. THE HEADLIGHTS AND THE WIPERS ARE FULLY FUNCTIONAL. NICE ORIGINAL FOUR SPEEDS ARE HARD TO COME BY AND SHE STANDS OUT. INTERIOR THE INTERIOR IS IN NICE ORIGINAL OR NEWER CONDITION. THE SEATS AND THE DOOR PANELS ARE BEAUTIUFL. THE CARPET HAS BEEN REPLACED IN THE NO TOO DISTANT PAST AND IS A LITTLE FADED IN SPOTS. THE ORIGINAL DASH IS SHOWING NO CRACKS AND ALL OF THE GAUGES WORK, THEIR FACES REMAIN BEAUTIFUL. THE ORIGINAL SHIFTER AND STEERING WHEEL WORK AND THE ORIGINAL STEREO WORKS GREAT. HE REAR COMPARTMENT DOORS ARE FUNCTIONAL BUT NO LONGER WORK LIKE NEW. THE CAR IS A TIME CAPSULE. MECHANICS THE REBUILT ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 350 CUBIC INCH MOTOR IS MATED TO THE FACTORY FOUR SPEED TRANSMISSION. THE MOTOR COMPARTMENT LOOKS VERY ORIGINAL WITH THE ORIGINAL AIR CLEANER AND THE ORIGINAL IGNITION SHIELD. WHEN THE MOTOR WAS REBUILT, ACCESSORIES LIKE THE WATER PUMP AND ALTERNATOR WERE REPLACED. FRESH FROM AN ALIGNMENT THE CAR HAS SUSPENSION BUSHINGS THAT LOOK GOOD AND APPEAR TO NOT BE COMING APART AND WHAT APPEAR TO BE NEWER SHOCKS. THE EXHAUST HAS BEEN UPDATED WITH NEW MUFFLERS RECENTLY. THE BRAKES STOP WELL AND HAVE BEEN REBUILT IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT PAST. THE CAR RUNS, DRIVES, AND STOPS WELL JUST FINISHING A ONE-HUNDRED TWENTY FIVE MILE ROAD TRIP.
