Code correct Nassau Blue with Black stripe exterior, code correct Bright Blue vinyl interior, Black convertible top. 275hp 327ci engine, numbers matching 4 speed manual transmission. This 1965 Corvette Convertible comes in the highly desirable Nassau Blue/Bright Blue color combination, and has been nicely restored with added factory style sidepipes for that classic rumble. Assembled on March 5, 1965, this A.O. Smith car comes equipped with desirable power brakes. Paint on this car is probably a few years old, showing few imperfections and a nice shine. A black stripe has been added to this paint, which appears to be clearcoated over. Convertible top is probably about the same age as the paint, showing no rips or tears and a good window. Although this car shows factory hardware for an auxiliary hardtop, the hardtop itself is long gone; nonetheless, a matching hardtop is available from us for an additional $2,500. Chrome bumpers might be original, and show some patina and light scratches. Taillights are very good to excellent with no cracks, and the weatherstripping is also very good to excellent, looking to be newer. Exterior door handles show some light pitting, and function well. This car features correct date coded side and front glass. Wheels are 1967 style rally, and are in very good condition with newer trim rings and center caps that show very well. Tires are brand new radial whitewalls. The interior of this 1965 Corvette Convertible shows very good carpet, seat covers, dash pad, center console, steering wheel, and door panels. Gauges are in excellent condition with no fading and clear lenses. The engine in this car appears to have been removed from a manual transmission 1967 Chevelle or Chevy II, and is rated at 275hp according to Chevrolet By The Numbers. This engine shows casting date April 11, 1967, and wears a GM intake and a Carter-built Quadrajet carburetor, in addition to 350hp style Corvette valve covers. Ignition shielding for the distributor is in place, as well as correct hose clamps. Frame is solid and rust-free, and features new exhaust. We rarely have the opportunity to offer 1965 Convertibles this nice at this low of a price -- call us now for this Corvette will surely be leaving us soon!
