Numbers matching 300hp 327ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 3.08 posi rear-end. Build sheet documented, 83,772 miles, one repaint...you just don't see midyears like this on a regular basis for under $60,000! Assembled on June 24, 1966, this car had just one owner from 1967-2007! Except for the windshield, all exterior glass on this car including the hardtop shows a correct date code. Convertible top may be oriiginal, and is in poor condition. Original exterior door handles are in fair to good condition, and function well. Taillights are in fair to good condition with two showing typical hairline cracks, and one with a tweaked bezel. Weatherstripping might be original, and is in fair condition. Original front chrome bumpers are in good condition; rears are fair. This car wears original hubcaps, which are in very nice unrestored condition other than the spinners, which show some typical light pitting. Tires are radial whitewalls with an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1966 Corvette Convertible is just as original as the outside was, including original seat covers, door panels, carpet, center console, GM seatbelts, and steering wheel. All of these items are in fair to good condition. Gauges are very nice with no fading and clear gauges, and the dash pads are free from cracks. A Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has been added to this car, as well as 6x9 speakers mounted into the jack compartment cover. The numbers matching engine in this 1966 Corvette Convertible shows casting date June 2, 1966, and final assembly date June 15, 1966. Carburetor, intake manifold, alternator, and exhaust manifolds all show correct casting numbers. Frame is solid and rust-free. This car has had much work performed on it recently, including rebuilt front and rear suspension with new trailing arm bushings and strut rods, shocks, steering gear, power steering valve, rebuilt original carburetor, a-arm covers, gas lid, license plate bezel, license plate lamp, power antenna, heater core, and a temperature gauge sending unit. This car drives very well, and comes with service records dating back to 1984. Also included are the original Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual with bag, and of course the build sheet. Original cars like this are not as easy to find as they used to be -- call us now!
