A hot rod for the enthusiast with a budget in mind, this stunning 1962 Corvette Convertible is guaranteed to turn heads and put a smile on it's owner's face. This car's paint appears to be older, but still shows very well with a deep shine. Convertible top looks to be nearly new, and shows no stains and a clear window. Chrome is in overall good condition with no dings or rust. Taillights look to be recent with no cracks or other issues, and the weatherstripping is recent as well and also very nice. Exterior door handles are very good with no pitting and strong springs. A set of polished American Racing 200S wheels have been added, and are in very good condition. These wheels wear Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 raised white letter tires, which are nearly new with an average of 11/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1962 Corvette Convertible shows very good condition seat covers and door panels, and a good condition dash pad and loop carpet. Gauges are very nice with some very minor fading and clear lenses, and the steering wheel is in overall good condition with some typical light cracking at the ends of the spokes. Seatbelts are newer, and a Custom Auto Sound cassette stereo has been added in place of the original AM radio. The engine block in this 1962 Corvette Convertible shows a 3970010 casting number and an April 27, 1976 casting date. Judging by the externally-balanced crankshaft, this engine may have been stroked to 383ci; however, we are not making any guarantees. Nonetheless, this car is RIDICULOUSLY fast from a stop and will definitely surprise anyone who's ever driven a straight axle Corvette. Other additions include a chrome oil pan, sturdy 12 bolt rear-end with chrome cover, Flowmaster mufflers, Be Cool aluminum radiator, electric fan, tall Edelbrock valve covers, ceramic coated longtube headers, Weiand high-rise aluminum intake manifold, MSD wires and ignition box, MSD Blaster ignition coil, Mr. Gasket in-line fuel pressure gauge, Holley carburetor, and an Edelbrock mesh triangle air cleaner. A TH350 3 speed automatic transmission has been added for better throttle response and highway cruising. Frame is solid, and rust-free. Car cover and original style hubcaps included.
