Numbers matching 425hp 454ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission, 3.55 posi rear-end. The words 'RARE' and 'NICE' do little justice for this car -- yes, it's one of the 188 LS6 cars built with factory aluminum heads, but we're willing to bet that not many of the 187 others were loaded out with factory options like this one. Additionally, this well-documented car is FRESH from a complete no expenses spared restoration, and is sure to please even the most demanding collector. Furthermore, this gorgeous car has been recognized by NCRS with both Chapter and National Top Flight awards in 2010. This car's paint is in excellent condition, with a deep shine. All exterior glass shows a correct date code, and headlights are correct T3 units. Chrome bumpers are in excellent condition as well, looking to be new or freshly re-chromed. Exterior door handles are excellent also excellent, looking to be new, as are the taillights and weatherstripping. This car wears a set of rally wheels in very good condition, with very good condition correct stainless trim rings and center caps. Tires are Goodyear Polyglas GT raised white letter bias-ply, with an average of 8/32nds tread depth remaining. Also included will be a set of correct date coded rally wheels, wrapped with 1971 Firestone bias-ply tires for show use. The interior of this 1971 Corvette LS6 454/425hp shows brand new seat covers and correct cut-pile carpet in excellent condition. Door panels look to be new as well, and are in very good condition. Correct GM date coded seatbelts are present, and have been restored to excellent condition. Gauges are excellent as well with no fading and new lenses, as well as a working clock. Dash pad is also excellent, with no cracks or warping, as is the center console. Correct AM/FM radio is present, as are correct date coded t-top bags, jack, and handle, with an original spare. The numbers matching engine in this 1971 Corvette LS6 454/425hp shows casting date December 11, 1970, and final assembly date February 27, 1971. Correct intake manifold, carburetor, hoses, air pump, ignition shielding, plug wires, and exhaust manifolds are all present, as well as a reproduction PF25 oil filter with period correct label. The engine compartment is very nicely detailed, and the frame is clean enough to eat off of, and has correct chalk and grease markings throughout. Original tank sticker, dealer invoice, protect-o-plate, original and repro manuals, seat shims, original keys and RARE key envelope, and other factory documents are included.
